All my life I have fought againt the fact that I love beautyfying! Any focus on beautyfying seemed so superficial and shallow: fashion, style, interiors ...
Yet creating beauty has been the one major recurring theme in my life: to create beauty (and order!) in my living environment, be it at home or at work. Creating beauty was always important both on a somewhat larger scale by dealing with (Nepali) art or on a rather small scale by decorating a table or wrapping a gift. And it was also always a joy to create beauty by dressing stylishly, being aware of colors, materials, comfort - and most recently also sustainability.
On all fronts this has meant paring down, sorting-out, getting by on less. And less CAN be more: when we set our mind (and our heart) to it and keep only what we really love.
Mindfully stylish is synonymous with less stuff, less clutter, a smaller footprint on the earth - WITHOUT GIVING UP ON BEAUTY, without spending too much money, without getting stressed out with too many belongings, without creating huge amounts of waste.
