The 10-week training (according to Schoenaker concept ®) is based on the work of Alfred Adler and his Individual Psychology, as well as the work of his student Rudolf Dreikurs, begun in Vienna and later followed-up in the U.S.A.. Theo Schoenaker, originally speech therapist, went on to train with Rudolf Dreikurs and eventually developed the structure of the 10-week training.
In 10 sessions of 1.5 to 2.5 hours (depending on the number of participants) the training focuses on practical exercises of self-encouragement, with the objective to get participants to really believe in themselves and their capabilities. They learn to find constructive ways deal with themselves and others. They practice looking at themselves in an honest yet loving way. They train to acknowledge their own personal qualities, talents, and capabilities. They learn: I am good just the way I am. New behavioral patterns are actively trained. Information and practical exercises alternate with short sharings and relaxation elements. Participants continuously develop a more courageous and optimistic attitude towards their own person and towards others.
Being grounded in “I am good enough” - that is the foundation for creative cooperation and giving form to our lives!
