It has been a while since I tried to do a blogpost. As so often, I got all caught up in the layout and design aspects of blogging and couldn't quite think of what to share. But here goes, some thoughts on entering a new season ... Summer was long in Germany. And hot. Unusually so, but very enjoyable for the most part. Some nights were a bit too hot to sleep well but mostly we got to feel like we were living in Italy or some other lovely more southern place. I actually didn't quite want it to end.
But end it did, and quite abruptly so, when we our vacation took us to Ireland in mid September. All of a sudden I had to wear sweater and even the light down jacket was necessary. (Not to speak of the few days that I needed to wear my yoga pants under my summer jeans!). Ireland was stunning in its many shades of green, the rocky and windswept coastlines, the meadows and stone walls, the VERY many sheep, the surprisingly good food, and the friendly people.
